5.1 Why Europa?
Please tell us in 1-2 sentences why you want to join Europa.
I had a read of the P99 forums looking to see if there was a Euro Guild active on P99 as i decided if there was I would fire up the game and make it my ambition to join. I done a /who Europa and messaged Abbaddon even though I don't know them, and then spent the evening chatting, and ended up getting some gear and plat, and that straight away told me the calibre of people in this guild, and that's definitely something I would love to be a part of.
5.2 Personality
Tell us a bit about yourself. Who are you in real-life, where are you from, what do you like etc.
I'm a 45 year old EQ addict, I've been an addict since 99, I have had extended periods off EQ over the years when I dabbled in other equally addictive products like WoW, DAOC etc but nothing scratches that it has like EQ, it's like slipping into a warm bath, that old friend that is always happy to see you, and drag you into its world!!
On a serious note, I'm 45, married with 2 boys, 7 and 10, I work in corporate IT, I sail during the summer months mostly at weekends, I only game week nights as weekends is family time. I can't sing or dance but that doesn't stop me trying!
5.3 Experience
Tell us what experience you have in EQ or any other MMORPG.
I queued outside Game in Ealing Broadway in the UK the day EQ was released, run home, made a wood elf ranger called Snoopdawg on The Rathe (don't ask I was younger!) Proceeded to fall off Kelethin a dozen times, and got summoned by a GM to change my inappropriate name. Logged out made a High Elf Paladin called Falconus and never looked back. Played on The Rathe until PoP launch when i moved to AB and joined Mortalis as a Barb BST, raided there til GoD and then quit to play WoW with some other guildies.
5.4 History on P99
What guild(s) have you been in? Did you play another character before?
I tried P99 in 2015 levelled a Wizard to 12 but RL got in the way, was never guilded as I never really got into P99 seriously enough.
5.5 Playtime
Tell us how much you play or plan on playing, what time etc.
I only play Weekdays from around 7:30pm.GMT until whenever I cannot keep my eyes open, weekends are purely family time. If I'm off work with the kids I will normally game a few hours during the day too.
5.6 Goals and motivation
What are you looking for in a guild and what can you contribute?
Ale and loose women!! Eerr wait that is bad advice a dwarf cleric called Azimon once gave me in Kedge Keep on The Rathe. I'm looking for friends really, and to relive old experience with new people. SoV was the best time in EQ for me personally, I loved NToV, Sleepers etc. What I can contribute is focus when I'm online, Pally buffs, bad offtanking, style and panache. And I'm always up for an adventure, or helping someone out, as that often leads to a decent adventure in itself.
5.7 Communication
Where did you hear about us? Who do you know already from us?
I don't really know anyone I'm afraid, however Abbaddon told me that there is a few ex Rathe members in your ranks, there is possibly members of other old EQ guilds I've been a member of, after I quit properly from Mortalis on AB I played in a few progression guilds on a couple of different servers.
As a final note, I enjoy the game, I enjoy hanging out and making new friends, I'm too old to be a power gamer, I just want to have fun times and make new memories with good people. I am definitely dedicated to playing a Paladin, I know they are one of the weakest raid classes but they can make decent party characters, and it's a class I played for enough years to know I will enjoy its frustrations
Even if I'm not successful in my application I hope that Europa members if they see me on the server will know I'm a friendly approachable person who is always more than happy to lend a hand or inferior Rez and buffs if the need be.
