Ralf - 40 Cleric (pause)

Hey guys,
first of all: It would be awesome, if a board-admin could change my username to "Ralf" - i registered about 2,5 years ago with my actual username and would like to change it.
I saw your application form, but still I would like to write my application in a free form, still trying to answer your questions.
My RL-name is Sascha, I live in Germany, I am nearly 30yo, married with a wonderful wife (she told me to write that) and half a year ago, I started a retraining as an IT-Consultant. During the last eight years, I worked as an army officer in the german Bundeswehr, due to my job I didn't have the time to play a lot of video games. But now I do and ofc restarted to play my all-time-favorite MMORPG: Everquest.
Back in 2003 i started playing Everquest with my best childhood-buddy. My parents didn't really like it and my grades started to suffer quite early - so they made me quit EQ, without letting me reach lvl 65 - I never really had the chance to go raiding *FeelsBadMan*. Later I played a lot of other video games and not even bad - for example, during university, I crafted the worlds first Legendary Mesmer Focus in Guild Wars 2 (my parents were correct to deny me EQ, I was a fucking addict
). I did play some other MMOs on a competitive level, but never again did a game fascinate me as Everquest did.
In 2014, I found out about the existence of P99 - started playing a warrior but, like mentioned above, I did not really have a lot of time to invest. So here I am now!
Two weeks ago, I started playing my cleric - "Ralf". Ralf is level 40 and has quite a good reputation in his levelrange. I have not been in a guild yet, but most people I play with, are in those leveling guilds - I don't really like that. Those guilds break apart when people stop recruiting and one will probably never see a raid encounter in those guilds. Europa was around when I shortly played in 2014 and I still see a lot of people with that tag. In your P99-Forum guild-thread, I read that you guys still make progress in the end-game, which means to me, that I could help in that progress one day, which would be totally awesome and since I am from Germany, I really think that your guild would be the best fit for me. I would love to go to raids one day - doesn't even have to be high-end. Just want to kill raid encounters in Kael, on the planes or wherever. In exchange I will serve you as quite a skilled and reliable team-player that ofc needs to learn / re-learn some mechanics and strategies. But I can promise you, that I always have the expectation of myself, not just to learn what to do, but to master it.
As mentioned before, my wife rocks - but still she is a wife, that doesn't play EQ. Which means I have to make compromises if I plan on playing lots.
I was sick at home the last two weeks, so i was able top play, when she was at work and I did play when she fell asleep on weekends. If I could join you guys, I would make fix times, like 2 evenings a week, where I am able to raid or do other guild stuff. I think 15-20h/week will be my average playtime. Which is ok for me, I missed eight years of gametime on P99 - won't start to uberhurry now.
I have no fear of voice chats or whatever. I just finally, want my epic journey through Norrath.
Feel free to ask any questions.
Sincerely yours,
Sascha aka Ralf
