Europa

Greetings to you all. First of all I'd like to say that my initial idea of posting here would be to introduce myself rather than making a full-fledged application post. As I am guilded with my best buddies I am not seeking to join another guild at this moment. However, I am the only European member in my guild and that makes it really tough to explore the higher level content in the game. I would very much like to get to know and group up with members of Europa, whether it be for dungeons or raids. So I will use the recruitment template anyway

Human Cleric, Level 53 serving Rodcet Nife.

5.1 Why Europa?
Europa has been under my attention for a while now for geographical reasons. You guys are the only guild I know about so far that has a broad European playerbase (kinda obvious!). Also, I've become friends with Langleef who is a very good ambassador for the guild. Friendly, helpful and nice to chat with

5.2 Personality
I am a 40-year old guy originally from The Netherlands but now living in Belgium. I have two kids aged 7 and 4. I work as an IT specialist for the government.

5.3 Experience
I started my EQ career back in 1999 before Kunark was released. I kept dying in Everfrost (what a horrible place as a newbie!) so I created a halfling warrior. I played him up to level 65, raiding endgame content up to and including Planes of Power with a UK based guild named Dark Templars. Visited England 3 times for guild meetings (aka get wasted parties, geez English people are crazy).
When EQ2 came out I gave my EQ account to an ingame friend and guildmate. However I couldn't get into EQ2 at all. Didn't run smooth on my PC and generally just didn't like the game mechanics.
Then WoW came out and I rounded up some RL friends to play together. I was guildleader for a Horde guild (Oblivion) on a PvP server in vanilla and after Burning Crusade was released I decided to play on the Alliance side on a PvE server. I once again created a guild (Decorum) that was meant to stay very small to just do 10-man content. We ended up attracting 2 other guilds to form an alliance with so we could once again raid the bigger stuff.
So basically I have raiding experience in EQ and raidleading experience with WoW which included voice chat.

5.4 History on P99
I started in December 2018 and I was guildless until level 51. After me and my friends killed Ragefire for my epic, Stream Team was created. I joined them because some of them are my best mates. I'm not a streamer myself, but am a regular in Primalheart's stream.
I believe that being guildless gave me the opportunity to make more friends than I would have otherwise.

5.5 Playtime
I play more than I should really. I logon everyday with the exception of days I have RL things to do like parties or spending the day with my family. On most days though I get online after the kids have gone to bed which is around 8-8:30PM. Right now I end my sessions very late, around 2AM, because most guild/friend groups start around 11PM or later.

5.6 Goals and motivation
I consider myself a casual raider, but I believe I am an enthusiast too, meaning I tend to lean towards being a hardcore raider but with the limitations that come with parenthood and having a full time job.

5.7 Communication
First learned about Europa through the guild list on P99 wiki. Made friends with Langleef/Jaap in SolB, CoM and KC. Became friends with Chizuru in CoM as well.

Alright, that's it I suppose. I hope I can become a friend of the guild for the time being. Perhaps you're all so awesome that I desire to shift guilds sooner than I anticipated, who knows!

Hi Lavendel, welcome.

I vaguely remember you! Ex-Dark Templar here too, used to play Lloddian (gnome enc) and a cat rogue named Hooner for a little while. I only managed to make one of the guildmeets in London, what little of it that I remember =P

I will give you access to our LFG forum, you can try and make a group or possibly latch onto something else people are doing.

Hey Lodd. I do remember your name from Dark Templars. I also remember our main tank was a half elf named Rakhir and an iksar monk named Zhaz. I wasn't actually Lavendel back then, that was my girlfriend at the time. We formed the warrior/cleric couple Gregorus & Lavendel

Anyways, I had yet another late one last night so I'm looking forward to getting in some Europa groups. I will take some initiative but feel free to /tell me if you need a cleric for grouping or rezzing.
