5.1 Why Europa?
Since I started on p99 back in July I have mainly played with Americans, and whilst I have enjoyed my experiences, I find I am often on to the very early hours just to get a good group or meet up with players I have friended. Meeting European players and doing content at reasonable hours is a massive motivation for joining Europa!
5.2 Personality
My name is Chris, 28 from Liverpool UK. I work from home doing IT support for a small hosting company and occasionally do bar work at weekends. I like football, films, live music and online gaming.
5.3 Experience
I played EQ in 99/00 when I was 14. I started a guild with some friends called Knights of Insomnia and binged EQ all summer long into the wee hours. Then school returned and Warice was retired at the tender age of 53, having done a few hate raids and downed Naggy in the odd pickup group. Played WoW on off for 4-5 years, Davioso Shadow Priest, highest content I raided was Ulduar in the Lich King expansion. Tried live, didnt have the same feels. Heard about p99 on reddit, boom, instant nostalgia.
5.4 History on P99
Started in July. Knights that say Ni, because I felt I needed a guild at low level and they where inviting anyone. Moved to Primal my current guild because I kept meeting up with the same players in the same zones night after night and they convinced me to join. Unfortunately most of them are based on the East Coast US and the 8-9hrs difference is causing issues.
5.5 Playtime
Haha, I like to play EQ a lot. My work and social life allows me to play 16hrs a day several days straight if I feel like doing so, though its not uncommon for these binges to be followed by several days break from the game. If a groups going well, i'm usually the last to leave at some silly hour of the morning!
5.6 Goals and motivation
Simply to see all the content available, and do that content well! Im very aware at the moment that unless I get into a raiding guild I am going to bypass content that Id like to do not just for drops, but for nostalgia too!
5.7 Communication
Seen the Europa tag, did a /who all Europa and noticed you guys are populated even when the server population is low. Figured you are European based and probably a better fit for me, guild tag lead to p99 forums which lead to here. Looking forward to hearing some feedback! Cheers!
