5.1 Why Europa?
I believe Europa has the kind of reputation I'd like to be associated with, friendly, honest folks. Your play/raid times match well with mine. I've spent a considerable amount of time trying to figure out which guild I should join and even tried out an app to AG but felt my playtime didn't fit well with them. I assumed the off peak guilds playtimes were too late for me and was beginning to feel I was doomed to playing in the witching hours that don't fit with any guild. But I decided to check out Europa's app thread and was thrilled to find out you raid starting about 11pm my time and seem to have a presence during my ideal playtime on a nightly basis.
5.2 Personality
I'm a senior cook in a very busy restaurant and am currently beginning my training to step into a management position. I'm married with 3 kids aged 6, 3 and 1, so very busy at home as well. I'm from Canada and I live on the west coast. I like music of all types but have a special affinity for 90's music, especially 90's punk and alternative. I like sports of all types but mainly follow NFL football and Hockey. And of course I'm a long time and avid gamer as I'm sure we all are.
5.3 Experience
I played a warrior on The Tribunal server from just before Velious to just after Luclin. I only ever got him to lvl 52 and didn't get to experience much raiding and I Loved the EQ era before the bazaar etc so p1999 is perfect for me. I spent a long time playing Dark age of Camelot but skipped WoW as I was into pvp at the time and felt DAoC was a better pvp game. Played Warhammer Online for the pvp as well. I've played numerous other mmo's like perfect world online, guild wars 2, Planetside 2, Elder scrolls online and Destiny on PS4. EQ keeps calling me back!
5.4 History on P99
I was in Bregan D'Aerth for awhile before Velious came out because a few real life friends were in the guild. BDA was a decent enough guild and I got to experience a number of kunark raid targets. I took a long hiatus and had no desire to relocate to the progression server that BDA went to. My first character on p99 was an Iksar monk named Yeshi but I played off and on and my friend ended up taking him over so I started my wizard and stuck with him.
5.5 Playtime
I will be playing most days starting at about 9-10pm to about 1-2am pst. With my busy work and family life I play later hours after everyone goes to bed, my "me" time.
5.6 Goals and motivation
I'm looking for a guild that is first and foremost friendly and helpful with each other but is also able to tackle end game content. Good camaraderie is important to me and is something I believe Europa has and which I felt was a bit lacking when I was in BDA, perhaps due to the sheer size of that guild. I can contribute a friendly attitude and am always willing to lend a hand or even just a port whenever needed if I'm able. I'm also an experienced enough gamer that when it comes time to get down to business I can hold my own and not cause issues with not following directions etc. Pixels are cool but not my top priority and I have the patience to wait for those kinds of things to come along whenever they may.
5.7 Communication
I've seen Europa around for a long time and always knew you guys were good people. I haven't gotten a chance to meet many of you but recently I spent en evening mucking about with Hunterlilly in Wakening Lands killing giants and we had a good time, eventually gathering up a crew for factioning.
