5 Character Details
Druid, 47, Wood Elf
5.1 Why Europa?
I'm based in the UK and looking to get into a guild which is active during the playtime that I am. Why Europa specifically? Rokzor's kind actions the other day kind of sold me on it. I would really like to be part of a guild where those kinds of actions form part of the community. Granted, as a 47 Druid helping out the lower levels with buffs is probably the most powerful thing I can do at the moment but community is the best part of MMOs.
5.2 Personality
I'm a 30 year old Project Manager (web - CiviCRM and Drupal if you're into this kind of thing!) living in London. I'm originally from Hong Kong (born and bred) although my ethnic roots are the UK and Philippines. Other than gaming, I'm crazy about climbing and will usually spend a couple of nights and a day on the weekend getting my fix (don't worry, I won't go crazy if I don't).
5.3 Experience
I started playing EQ when I was in secondary school around 11 or 12 and played for quite a few years (I think it was around 2002-2003 when I stopped). I never got into the raid scene (did a couple of raids but nothing regular). My main characters were a Druid and a Beastlord (yes.. I know.. shame on me for the non-classic character..).
During university I was actively playing and raiding Everquest 2. I played a Monk which I switched over to a Bruiser when I joined a guild and it would give us a little more diversity than having 3 Monks. Also played a ranger up to raiding level.
After that it was WoW with friends from home - raiding top end content both 10 and 25 man. The guild is still going although is so on and off that the lack of guild community really puts me off logging back on.
Oh and at some point I playedgrinded my life away on Aion (Chanter and Spiritmaster). The world PVP was pretty fun in it but it isn't something I'm looking for with P99.
5.4 History on P99
I did join a guild a long time ago (long time being back when I got my Guise on my Druid). I can't really remember the name of it but it died out after a little while. It was fun while it lasted though and we got some fun groups together to go through the classic dungeons. Other than that, I've alt-aholiced my way through but always been drawn back to my Druid. I've got my Lumi staff now and spend time clicking away on it in EW at the mo.
5.5 Playtime
I tend to play during the evenings on weekdays for a couple/few hours. My girlfriend isn't much of a gamer and hasn't really been bitten by anything so my weekends are usually spent with her. I did put her on Portal a few months back. She played for about 4 hours, said "oh my god is that the time?!" and has been scared to go back since.
5.6 Goals and motivation
I'm looking mainly for community, grouping, and conversation in a guild. I'm not too bothered if I don't make the "raid team" as it's a heavy commitment on time that I'm not sure I'd be able to reliably attend. Also, I don't think Druids get to play a large part so it would be a while until I have a character which is raid-worthy.
In terms of wider goals: I'd like to get my druid up to max-level and see as much of EQ as I can. In between the levelling, I'm always happy to help out where I can!
5.7 Communication
So I don't know anyone in the guild and I've only heard of you guys through seeing you on the site/forums. The other guy I started playing P99 with suggested we try to join a long while back but we were in the other guild (that I can't remember the name of) and ticking along nicely at the time.
Hope that covers everything!
