Returning player

Hi guys,

I used to be in Europa a long time ago, at the beginning of p99. I was playing a ranger named Eliena, not sure if anyone remember me (I honestly don't remember anyone after watching names in these forums).

Anyway, at some point I left Europa for Darkwind (raiding guild). Then later Darkwind was merged into Transatlantic Rampage, and shortly after that I stopped palying on p99 (had too much of it). This was all before Kunark mind you.

Yesterday I logged back to check my chars, had a look at p99 forums to see what was going on, and I thought I could return to play for a bit.

My main is now unguilded (I think Transatlantic Rampage doesn't exist anymore?), and I still have a wizard in Darkwind but when I logged on there was no one in guild (Darkwind is also gone?).

So I remembered about Europa and think it could really fit me as I'm more of a casual player now.

My chars are :
- Ranger lvl 50 with full planar armor + planar weapons. I think armor is still good but weapons must be crap with Kuneark and Velious out.
- Wizard lvl 31 that I twinked quite well at the time (203 int unbuffed).

I think I'd have more fun playing the wizard, and it would be easier to find groups (I don't really wanna solo to farm XP). Or I could restart as a cleric (always wanted to try one). How hard would it be to find a group for one of my chars at the moment? I guess people must be raiding and leveling at 50+ mostly?

I understand that I'd have to go through the trial process if I wanted to get back into Europa, and minimum level is 35. I think I could get my wizard to 35 in a reasonable amount of time. I guess the guild would like a wizard better than a ranger?

Looking forward to seeing you apply when you get the appropriate level, we really dont prefer one class over another. Rangers are also super useful <3

Are they seriously useful or is this just a ranger joke? I'm actually considering playing her instead of the wizard. Will I be getting exp groups? Still thinking

Hey Eliena and welcome back

AFAIK, Transatlantic rampange is no more, but there still some people with Darkwind tags for nostalgia reasons, so it's pretty strange you don't have it in your chars.

About the character, the answer is simple: Play the class you like the most. Every class has it pros and cons, and I think rangers are great in velious !!

Well then I think I'll try to play the ranger for a couple of days and see if I'm having fun. Can I bother one of you for a transfer in EC? My wizard has few items and plats I'd like on my ranger and I don't know who to trust.

And yes the wizard still has the Darkwind tag actually

Didn't want to start a new thread, so hijacked this one.

I was also in Europa left to join Darkwind as they were my original EQ guild and now I come back to have a look at P99 and Europa are still flying high as the biggest strongest EU contingent on the server.

I was wondering does your guild accept casuals?

I mean I understand the traditional application process etc but I don't really fancy raiding but grouping and talking to people from my region (Europe) would be nicer than me standing around in EC doing nothing with my life!

If not I will just go take a look at the Phinigel server and retire my 50 Druid! You guys are great from what I remember especially talking with Gaviilan last time I played.

You're also the best option for EU players but I don't want to be 'forced' to log on and do a trial period and all that stuff.

I was a 50 Druid named Ayrwolf, currently I am a casual member of Darkwind on Ragefire EQ Live but still enjoy playing on here casually too.

Hey!

We do most definatly accept casuals and there's no requirement to raid at all. You can go about your business anyway you please.

We do have a trial process though but as long as you interact with guild (which I guess is your intention by joining) there shouldn't be a problem passing if you make some friends.
