starter shows server as down and if i still log in i get a weired char select about spells are outdates and so ...

seems i cant play

You have to download the patch from here. That'll get it fixed.

I think that if you use the EQEmu launcher, there's no need to patch, but if you EQ exe directly, you need to patch. But I'm maybe wrong :)

Well I use the launcher, couldn't log in... did the patch and now I can log in.

The EqEmu launcher is no longer supported, back to traditional ways

The patch was from the last update. Last downtime had no files changes.
