Guild application - Bard (Feb 13)

Post by Daveyan »

Class, Level and Race.
Bard - currently level 4 - Half Elf

1 Why Europa?
Based on what I read on your forum and the feedback I got from players on P99, Europa is the guild for me.
I'm located in Belgium and since I started playing in '99 on live, I went from single to married with 2 children. This means my playtime hours are evening and weekend EU time. On top of that, Europa is being advertised as mature and fun guild, which is exactly what I'm looking for. I don't need my daily 8-hour raid fix, but rather a guild where I can just log in, have fun, enjoy doing things together, whether it's doing a raid, helping people level, quest together, and so on.

2 Personality
I'm from Belgium, 37 years old, work for a major network operator.
I like gaming (it all started with a ZX Spectrum), movies & series, cars and motorbikes.
Married with 2 children, the oldest one is taking over most of the PS3 game time at the house.

3 Experience
I started playing Everquest in May 1999 with a bunch of friends. We founded one of the major guilds on the Rathe server (1999-2002) and I'm very familiar with the game of that era. Personally I quit playing Everquest when DaoC was released, but I came back a few times until Planes of Power expansion.
Since the release of Everquest I have pretty much tried out all major MMO's that came out, but Everquest is the only one that "got me" so far. Daoc is a close second.
I have also been part of the Guide program back in the early years.

4 History on P99
I'm new to P99. Seeing that progression is 'classic' the best way to go forward is with a nice group of people. I chose the Bard class as it's designed for grouping and I'm not a solo player.

5 Playtime
I don't have a fixed schedule (yet) for playing on P99 as I'm mainly starting out and seeing where this is going. The quality of the guild and it's people will be the determining factor of this.
I have time on weekdays after 20:00 and during the weekend it depends on the wife and the kids :) Evening is usually OK.

6 Goals and motivation
I'm looking forward to a good gaming experience on P99 with a solid group of people that enjoy playing together - with the same mindset and same timezone. This can be casual or organized. All this of course in the game that made me fall in love with MMO's and has given me the best game experience in my life.
I'm someone that you can count on and will not turn rogue when issues arise. I'm an adult and I behave as one.
I want my place in Europa to be my favorite hangout in the virtual world.

7 Communication
I don't know much about Europa, but the things I heard are good.
I have not yet met anyone personally, but I'm only just starting out.
Being an old EQ vet makes me want to start in a guild as soon as possible, as the early game experience I have done over so many times...

Thank you for reading! Hope to hear from you soon.

I know that the minimum limit of 20 is stated in the Guild Chapter.

Since I'm starting out on the server, I don't know anyone and playing a bard is not going to make my progress easy by myself.

Joining a group of people with the same mentality and playing hours will make my experience only better, that's why I applied.

I don't want to join a guild right now only to reach level 20 and leave them. Since my start in Everquest in 1999 I have not been guildless. This experience is a bit alienating for me right now ;) Especially when there is a fine guild around that fits my needs.

Anyway, I would appreciate it if I could get in touch with you guys in-game and see where this goes.
